5% of profits from Heenan Photography will go towards protecting the environment. The natural world is important for many reasons, and of course it is crucial for nature photography too!Photographer Tom Heenan is also involved in nature conservation, so the natural world is very close to his heart. To help preserve nature for generations (and photographers!) to come, a percentage of profits from Heenan Photography sales is donated to charities and groups which help to care for wild places, raise awareness of conservation issues, train up conservationists or even help to green up urban spaces. Here are some of the organisations which Heenan Photography supports in this way:
European Conservation Action Network
This Community Interest Company (CIC) manages volunteering and training projects in the UK as well as other countries of Europe, with the main objective of involving more people and communities in the conservation management of their own environments. EuCAN helps to care for wildlife spots in Dorset and further afield through volunteer workdays, encourages people to get involved in practical conservation work in their own areas, and also offers education and training for people who want to get involved in environmental conservation (including practical skills, species identification, taxonomy and ecological field skills). EuCAN supports conservation work in other European countries through exchanges, placements and projects.

Trees for Cities
"Trees for Cities is an independent charity, which inspires people to plant and love trees worldwide. Set up as Trees for London in 1993, Trees for Cities’ aim is to create social cohesion and beautify our cities through tree planting, community-led design, education and training initiatives in urban areas that need it most.
We manage projects across the UK as well as internationally in cities such as Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Kigali, Ica and La Paz. Our work supports urban tree planting initiatives particularly in deprived areas of cities. Community-led design is an integral part of our landscaping projects. Involving local residents, schools and community groups helps ensure the sustainability of green spaces."
